Card of Thanks
The High Desert Fiddlers would like to thank
all the folks who lent a hand to make the Country Music Jamboree successful.
2008 marked the 25th consecutive year the High Desert
Fiddlers have hosted an event in Harney County. From the
fiddle contest to jamboree, steady streams of musicians have trekked to our
community to share their talents. We thank them all for the
delight they bring.
Thank you to KZZR/KQHC, the Burns Times Herald,
Harney County Fair, Don Slone, Carrie Winstead, Jack Hutchins, Glenda And
Carlos Larson, Jim Withee, Ye Olde Castle, Meathook Restaurant, Elkhorn
Café, Apple Peddler, Glory Days Pizza, the Merchant's Association, Harney
County Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Music Society, and Country Lane Quilts.
Participation from the Oregon Old Time Fiddlers
Association is paramount to the success of the Jamboree.
Special thanks go to Lew Holt, Alice Holt, Larry Gallagher and Leroy Newport
for the workshops they hosted. Extra effort was put forth by
Art and Rhea Bigelow, Ali Swartwood, Art and Charlotte Bigelow and Bea
Johnson.
The food service provided by Pat Albertson and
Terri Lee was exceptional. Soundman Red McWilliams was
marvelous. The contribution of labor from Merlin LaChapelle
and the Sherriff's Parole and Probation Work Crew was a lifesaver.
Many thanks go to the anonymous donor who sent
the cash contribution. What a wonderful surprise it was and it
ensured the financial success of the jamboree.
The following folks are the High Desert
Fiddlers and friends. It is their contributions of time and energy and sage
advice which make the Jamboree click. Joe and Micky Enneberg,
